Jason Bonham - Jason Bonham hoping for all star album

Jason Bonham wants to record an album with Robert Plant and Slash.

The drummer - son of late Led Zeppelin sticksman John Bonham - is planing an original album and hopes to get some of the huge stars he has previously worked alongside to guest star.

He said: ''I've always wanted to do an album with half the people I've worked with. People like Robert Plant, Paul Rodgers, Jeff Beck and Slash.''

He will also be using the backing band he plays with in Jason Bonham's Led Zeppelin Experience, which he formed in 2010 to pay tribute to his father's group.

He added to ClassicRockRevisited.com: ''I've been working on some original songs with the band that does the Led Zeppelin experience.

''We're going to start writing as an original band and see what comes out of it. It'll be kind of Zeppelin-esque because of the way the guys play - but there's nothing wrong with that.''

Jason played with Led Zeppelin when they got back together in 2007 for a concert at The O2 in London, and he admits it was was one of the most trying experiences of his life.

He said: ''Let's face it, to be in that seat, the seat of the possibly the greatest rock drummer of all time, when the entire world is watching to see if you are going to f**k up. It is intense. Everyone was looking for me to fail.

''It was a special night. For many years, I had problems with booze and drugs and I was trying to replicate the other [persona of] John. And that was the wrong one to replicate. I realised that the good one was the drumming guy.''
