Jason Bateman Directing Bad Words?
Jason Bateman is set to direct 'Bad Words'.
The 'Arrested Development' actor - who has previously only helmed an episode of the comedy series - is lining up the movie about a middle-aged man who finds a way to compete in a children's spelling bee competition.
In the process he befriends a young female journalist and takes a young Indian contestant under his wing, causing problems with hilarious consequences.
The indie comedy is currently searching for a distribution deal after Darko Entertainment picked up the financial side of things.
Jason is also likely to take on the leading role in the movie, Variety reports.
Andrew Dodge wrote the screenplay for the film, with Bateman, Mason Novick, Sean McKittrick, Ted Hamm and Jeff Culotta producing.
Jason - who was most recently seen in 'The Change-Up' - is currently working on new movie 'Identity Thief' with 'Bridesmaids' star Melissa McCarthy and will shortly be seen in internet drama 'Disconnect'.
