Janet Jackson Dispute Rages Over Paris Jackson Film Role

Janet Jackson 's dispute over her niece Paris Jackson accepting a film role looks set to rumble on. She considers the 14 year old's decision to be against the wishes of her late brother, Michael Jackson. Jacko apparently wanted Paris to stay out of the limelight until she reaches the age of 18, according to US magazine but she has accepted a role in the forthcoming movie 'Lundon's Bridge and the Three Keys', which is scheduled for release next year.

US magazine reports that Janet is at loggerheads with the rest of the Jackson family over the decision to allow Paris to act in the film. An insider has told them "She feels it goes against Michael's wishes to keep his kids out of the limelight until age 18." Janet of course, will be conscious of the negative effects that a life in the limelight had on Michael's own childhood. It's understandable that she feels Paris needs protecting from the same pitfalls experienced by her father. "Janet thinks Paris should enjoy being a kid and possibly go to college" and reportedly told her niece "You're only young once."

Paris, on the other hand is said to be "hoping for more roles" once she is done filming the movie, which is also thought to feature Joey Fatone, of the boy-band Nsync. It's caused a "huge dispute" in the Jackson camp, apparently, though all signs seem to be pointing towards Paris going ahead with the movie, as planned.

Hey this isn't 1993, show a little respect and call him by his name, not that horrible, racist nickname he hated.

Yes. What's with this 'Jacko' name when there is a global campaign to stop it as racist and insulting. Many in the media no long use it, so come on. I have said for ages that Paris is too young to go into films, should enjoy and profit from her youth, and wait until she is 18. I hope she listens to all the well-meaning advice; but the trouble is, 'you can't put an old head on young shoulders'. I hope she doesn't grow up to regret it too.
