Jane Lynch To Discuss Alcoholism And Sexuality In Memoir
JANE LYNCH, the American actress and star of the hit musical-comedy Glee, will speak frankly about her career, getting sober, and how she embraces her sexuality, in her forthcoming memoir 'Happy Accidents', according to Reuters.
The 50-year-old, who is openly gay, says she wants to share her story about life in the entertainment industry, adding, "If I could go back in time and have a conversation with my 18-year-old self, the first thing I'd say is, 'Lose the perm.' Second, I would say, 'Relax. Really - just relax. Don't sweat it". Lynch began her career at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago before landing roles in hit television shows such as 'Two and a Half Men'. Lynch's portrayal of 'Sue Sylvester' in GLEE has earned her both EMMY AWARD and Golden Globe success and she is set to star in the forthcoming Simon Pegg and Nick Frost comedy 'Paul'. However, despite her success, the book will also cover the darker days of Lynch's now glittering career and the actress noted, "For a long time, I was anxious and fearful that the parade would pass me by, and that someone or something outside myself had all the answers"
'Happy Accidents' will be published by Hyperion's Voice and is scheduled to hit shelves in September 2011.
