Jane Levy Files For Divorce From Her Secret Marriage

Suburgatory and Evil Dead actress Jane Levy has filed for divorce form her husband Jaime Freitas after 7 months together, TMZ have reported. The news of the divorce, and the marriage for that matter, may come as a surprise to many as the marriage was only known about by the two until their divorce was announced.

The actress regularly plays young or teenage girls on screen, but she is actually 23-years-old and got married to her actor former-husband in March 2011. The pair only stuck together for 7 months and have kept their union under wraps until now, however their busy schedules have prevented the two from actually filing for divorce, until now.

The official paperwork was filed on April 16, with Levy citing “irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce. The marriage is said to have been an ill-timed life choice and ended amicably, not the by-product of a drunken one night stand or a Vegas bet. Levy's divorce papers indicate that she doesn't want to pay spousal support to Freitas, whose career has failed to take off quite like Levy's has in recent years. As a testament to just how far Levy has come recently, there is virtually no information about her marriage to Freitas, or their split.

Following her success as Mia in the Evil Dead reboot, Levy will next be seen in the 2014-slated In a Dark Place, whilst her role in Suburgatory is still ongoing. The show is in it's second series, though it isn't known whether a third series is planned.
