Jane Fonda - Jane Fonda honoured at cement ceremony

Jane Fonda cemented her place in Hollywood history on Saturday (27.04.13).

The two-time Academy Award winner - who has yet to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame - was joined outside the Chinese Theatre by celebrities including Jim Carey, Maria Shriver and Eva Longoria as she pressed her hands and shoeprints into cement alongside those of her late father Henry Fonda.

The 75-year-old actress was in great spirits as she took part in the prestigious ceremony, which was part of the 2013 TCM Classic Film Festival, and hosted a special screening of her and her father's movie 'On Golden Pond' afterward.

Earlier this week Jane admitted she was thrilled to be invited to receive the honour of sinking her hands and feet into concrete.

She said: ''I am very, very excited. I thought probably I would die and this would never happen. I'm just really thrilled that it actually is happening and not only that, but I get to put my hand and footprints right next to my father... I'm just so happy I'll probably cry.''

Jane previously admitted that her breast cancer battle made her realise she isn't afraid of dying.

She said: ''(It) was a good test, because I always said I'm not afraid of dying. And I wasn't. I mean, I felt (that), god, I've just joined a family of millions of women who have gone through this. And how interesting. What a journey this is going to be.

''I just thought, 'You know, maybe I'll make it and maybe I won't.' I didn't get scared. I hope I don't die. But I'm not scared of dying.''

The 'Monster-in-Law' star had a relatively small tumour, which was non-invasive. After having it surgically removed she was given the all clear and told she was ''100 per cent cancer-free'' just a few months later.
