James Bond - James Bond Movie To Be Released 9th November 2012
JAMES BOND, the 007 special agent currently played on screen by DANIEL CRAIG, will return to cinemas again next year after the 23rd film in the franchise was given the go ahead to begin production, reports the UK's Guardian newspaper. The follow-up to 2009's 'Quantum of Solace' was temporarily postponed after MGM studios filed for bankruptcy protection.
The film company has since been restructured, meaning DANIEL CRAIG will play Bond for the third time, with the OSCAR winning SAM MENDES confirmed as director. The movie's producers MICHAEL WILSON and BARBARA BROCCOLI confirmed last night (11th January 2011) that the currently untitled new movie will be released on 9 November 2012. Reports had suggested that Craig, now one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, was set to walk away from the project after uncertainty surrounding its future. However, the acclaimed actor is now expected to finish work on his current projects, 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and 'Cowboys and Aliens' before dedicating himself to the Bond movie.
The 42-year-old has been one of the most profitable Bond actors in history and his first outing as the 007 agent, 'Casino Royale', took $594 million at the box office. The new movie's release date is set to tie in with the 50th anniversary of Bond's first appearance on screen.
