James Bond Movie Gets The Go Ahead With Mendes As Director
The follow-up to 2008's 'Quantum of Solace' will be directed by the OSCAR winning director Sam Mendes whose previous efforts have included the acclaimed 'American Beauty' and the Tom Hanks gangster flick 'Road to Perdition'. The movie's producers Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli confirmed yesterday (11th January 2011) that the currently untitled new movie will be released on 9 November 2012 and that filming should commence in late 2011 once Craig completes work on his current projects, 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' and 'Cowboys and Aliens'.
Recent speculation has suggested that British actor Michael Sheen, of 'Frost/Nixon' fame', could be being lined up to take the villain role in the movie, however, acclaimed stage actor SIMON RUSSELL BEALE is also being tipped to land the part.
