Jamelia - Jamelia Lands First Tv Role In Bbc Drama

The Superstar hitmaker will appear in the second series of the hit U.K. drama about a British cop sent to the Caribbean to uncover the truth about a colleague's death.

It will be her TV acting debut, and she follows in the footsteps of British veterans Stephanie Beacham and Gemma Jones, who have both made guest appearances on the show.

The star says, "I'm so excited - not only am I in a great drama filming my first TV role but I'm doing it in the Caribbean too! I'm really looking forward to working with such a talented cast."

Jamelia previously played herself in U.K. comedy Plus One.
