British singer Jamelia has blasted pop star Gabrielle after she called for the Music of Black Origin (MOBO) awards to be axed. The Dreams hitmaker believes the annual award ceremony, praising urban artists, should be axed because they "lack a soul prize and are dominated by U.S. artists." But Jamelia, 26, - who hosted Wednesday night's Mobo awards - defended the awards, branding Gabrielle's comments "sad" She says, "Just because there isn't a special category does not mean that soul artists are not being recognised. "I find it sad and remarkable that people are always looking for negatives for negative's sake, when Mobo have just pulled off one of their best shows ever."
