Teen actor Jake T. Austin will answer a charge of driving under the influence (Dui) in court on Wednesday (20Oct13), a day after his car was involved in a separate hit-and-run incident in California.
The former Wizards of Waverly Place star was busted on 8 October (13) by officers from the California Highway Patrol after reportedly failing a field sobriety test.
News of his low-key arrest surfaced on Tuesday (19Nov13) - hours after his 2010 Audi, which he was driving when he was pulled over last month (Oct13), was involved in a hit-and-run, reports Tmz.com.
The 18 year old's car was abandoned on the streets of Sherman Oaks, California early on Tuesday (19Nov13) after allegedly hitting three parked vehicles. It is not yet known if Austin was present during the accident as the driver and his passengers had left the scene of the crime by the time police arrived to investigate, according to eyewitnesses.
Cops have yet to make any arrests in Tuesday's incident, which is being treated as a hit-and-run.
