The folk star began serving time last November (14) after bids to overturn her conviction for laundering cash on behalf of her politician ex-boyfriend, Julian Munoz, in 2013 failed.

Her lawyers have continued to appeal the ruling, but their latest efforts were shut down in a court in Malaga this week (ends25Sep15).

The news emerges almost four months after Pantoja was granted temporary leave from her jail cell to visit her family.

She was allowed to spend 96 hours with her loved ones, before heading back to the Alcala de Guadaira jail near Seville.

Munoz was jailed for seven years for his part in a corruption scheme, which provided building permits in exchange for bribes.
