Jadakiss - Jadakiss Concert Goes Ahead Despite Boycott

Rapper Jadakiss went ahead with a concert in Swaziland, Southern Africa on Saturday night (23Apr11) despite protests from members of a youth group who urged fans to boycott the gig.
The hip-hop star took to the stage for a show in Swaziland in aid of the Prince Lidani Foundation, an organisation named after the country's King Maswati Iii.
Members of the Swaziland Youth Congress, a banned opposition group, previously called for a boycott of the gig in protest against the king. Jadakiss refused to call off the show, and the event went ahead despite demonstrations from the group, but the turnout at the gig was affected and less than 500 people attended, according to the Afp.
Swaziland Youth Congress spokesman Mxolisi Nghamphalala has since hailed the protest a success, saying, "We have no problem with Jadakiss personally, we have a problem with taxpayers' money being used to organise activities of this kind. Jadakiss performed and he got his money."

Swaziland shot it's self in the foot with this protest. Had Jadakiss been welcomed and support of AIDS benefit concert went forward without all the protest, politics and disrespect of the artist... It would have encouraged MORE artist to support the Swaziland fight against AIDS, poverty, corrupt governments ect... But what international artist would even want to come to Swaziland now, after the way Jadakiss was treated and the Hip Hop community is large and vast and Jadakiss is respected for his Loyalty to his crew D-Block... But you can not expect him to 1. break a contracted performance 2. be labeled as disruptive to the local government, by getting into your politics 3. be unprofessional!I can not believe this is how JadaKiss was treated in Swaziland!

How totally humiliating for international hip-hop. Royal whore Jadakiss disrespects Swaziland's Youth Congress by playing a youth-boycotted show for a "king". Fatass Jadakiss refused to call it off, and less than 500 showed up.This terrible international snub should now follow Jadakiss everywhere. He had his chance to support his customers and chose to suck the "king's" cock. He's a failure as a human being. Swaziland Youth Congress spokesman on the boycott of the gig: "Success."
