Jackson's Former Lawyers Demand $341,452 From Estate

Executives at the law firm which defended MICHAEL JACKSON during his 2005 child molestation trial are demanding $341,452 (GBP227,635) in unpaid fees from the late star's estate.

Los Angeles-based law firm Mesereau & Yu filed court documents on Friday (25Sep09) claiming the sum is owed for work on the case between July 2005 and February 2006, reports TMZ.com.

The case blighted Jackson's personal life until his tragic death in June (09) - causing many of his former friends and fans to keep their distance from the King of Pop.

Jackson was acquitted on 14 charges of child molestation in June 2005 - a year-and-a-half after he was accused.

	gmafb..michael jackson was the biggest deadbeat in history..he should have his own guinness category for all the people he cheated out of money and the bad debts he left....the lawyers deserve to be paid...they did their job well...a guilty man walked...if not for them, there would not be an estate left to sue...

	Why the HEll can't these people leave him and his Estate alone? Use it as a Tax write off. They bring all this out after Michael Died. Why didn't they talk about this before. I am sure they were paid some kind of Retainer Fee upfront. So use that as your fee and call it paid. Let his Kids have the money they need to grow. Take a settlement of much less, Respect MJ because I know he respected you. Stop and think, if you died would you want all these volchers coming out of the wood work and taking money away from your kids? I don't think so..... I am sure MJ had an Accountant, or is that what the manager was to do make sure that his bills were paid. If the manager didn't do their job go after them for screwing up MJ's accounts.
