Jackson Movie Uses Old Material

MICHAEL JACKSON's vocal on concert rehearsal movie THIS IS IT has been enhanced by old recordings of his songs.

The film, which features footage of the King Of Pop practising for his ill-fated comeback shows, has taken more than $200 million (£125 million) at the worldwide box office.

Music experts claim Jackson's strong singing is down to clever editing, with former BBC senior studio manager Andrew Rose insisting footage of the Thriller icon belting out Earth Song is fake.

He says the performance vocal has been lifted from a demo available on YouTube.com, adding: "Throughout the film sudden changes in vocal timbre suggest the dropping in of older recordings which may have required significant digital manipulation to fit the new live backing."

And now bosses at Sony Pictures, who produced the picture, admit they were forced to use old Jackson performances to aid the sound quality of the footage.

Spokesman Jim Kennedy says, "In order to fulfil Michael's vision for his fans and his children... the filmmakers had to incorporate some pre-existing materials, including vocals, where the rehearsal footage audio was incomplete and/or inaudible.

"In addition, usage of master recordings (such as Earth Song) was credited in the end titles."

I saw the movie "THIS IS IT" 7 times. Michael Jackson was perfect in every way, shape and form. This was rehearsals, Michael would have done everything to perfection on his tour if he had not died so suddenly. I have been following Michael Jackson's career since 1969 when he first appeared on the "ED Sullivan Show", I have been and always will be a true fan. No one can or could take his place, he was the most talented and caring human being, he was so gifted and so profound and passionate to the world, his kindness, his smile, his voice and the strong messages that he left us, he was a magastar, he never let us down even when he was down, truly a God-sent.

Rehearsals are what rehearsals are supposed to be which is practise, preparation etc. Vocally I think Michael Jackson was excellent - I love listening to him on his ballads. He is well tuned in and emotional with it. I suppose I am surprised that human nature was dubbed as I expected to hear raw rehearals. I would not have been disappointed at all. Still I wonder about AEG. I cannot believe Ortega, someone as close as he was to Michael, let him slip away.

Prince, that's who doesn't do it!!! he gets no credit, 21 nights in London back in 2007 (most with 2 shows a night - until 3am sometimes). He sings, plays directs an entire show with a glance over this Gucci Glasses, and everybody just goes on about MJ, Britney and Madonna, not being very good. Prince is a world class performer, in fact; here's a challenge; name another performer that can do all that he can - - - LIVE!! real music, real musicians. It is sad that MJ is no longer with us - respect to all his fans.
