Jackson Creditor Lands This Is It Mention

The dancer suing MICHAEL JACKSON's estate for unpaid fees gets a special mention in the end credits of the King of Pop's new concert rehearsal film THIS IS IT - for his "past work" with the late superstar.

LaVelle Smith Jr., who alleges he worked for the late King of Pop between 2008 and early 2009, is mentioned among the choreographers who helped Jackson throughout his career.

He is suing for the $144,500 (£90,300) he claims Jackson still owed him before he died in June (09).

Also named among the This Is It end credits are Mika Brando, who is listed as one of two assistants to the King of Pop and former The Hulk star Lou Ferrigno, for his "conditioning" expertise.

Absent is songwriter Paul Anka, who co-wrote Jackson's This Is It song, which runs over the end credits.

The tune, originally titled I Never Heard, is credited solely to Jackson.

Anka settled a royalties and copyright dispute with the administrators of Jackson's estate, prompting many fans to believe he'd get a shared credit in the film.

But he isn't complaining. Anka recently said, "It (dispute) got resolved in about two hours. Everything is sorted out. The right thing has been done. Everyone is happy. It was an honest mistake."

The film ends on a deeply personal note - the final dedication is to Jackson's three children, Prince Michael, Paris and Prince Michael II (aka Blanket).
