Rocker Jack White is bringing back the blues thanks to the support of executives from a Scottish record label.

White's Third Man Records has teamed up with bosses at Document Records to reissue the complete works of Charley Patton, Blind Willie MCTell and the Mississippi Sheiks on remastered vinyl.

The new partnership is a childhood dream come true for White, who bought Document's blues catalogue when he was a kid growing up in Detroit, Michigan.

Co-founder Gillian Atkinson tells Scotland on Sunday newspaper, "What this collaboration has done, and Jack in particular, is open up a whole new younger market, and he's reaching it."
