Ja Rule Sentencing Hearing Pushed Back
Prison-bound rapper Ja Rule can enjoy his freedom for a little longer - a New York judge has postponed his sentencing hearing until next month (Mar11).
The Always On Time hitmaker, real name Jeffrey Atkins, is set to serve two years behind bars after pleading guilty to a gun charge relating to a 2007 arrest in New York.
He was due to appear in court on Wednesday (09Feb11) for sentencing, but prosecutors requested a delay to allow them extra time.
The hip-hop star is due back in court on 9 March (11).
Ja Rule was hit with a count of attempted criminal possession of a weapon after cops found a semi-automatic gun hidden in the door of his car during a traffic stop.
