Izzard Finally Funny In Film Role
EDDIE IZZARD is thrilled he finally gets to show his comedic side in a film role by playing UMA THURMAN's spurned lover in MY SUPER EX-GIRLFRIEND. British-born Izzard rose to stardom on the strength of his outrageous comedy, but has kept things on the serious side when it comes to movie parts. He finally got the chance to show his comedic side in the film where he plays PROFESSOR BEDLAM, who is coping with being dumped by Thurman's character. He explains, "(It's) my first really comedic part. He could have just been the bad guy, but it's also playing on his bitterness over being dumped. "I constantly attack her whilst being emotionally in love with her all the time. I do know that feeling. "I think everyone has gone through being dumped!"
