Whitney Houston - Is Whitney Housten's Last Ever Movie Performance Memorable?

The late singer and movie star, Whitney Houston enjoyed a glamorous and somewhat controversial career. Her legacy, though, does not simply live on in spirit; the multi award-winning actress performed in Sparkle shortly before her tragic death in February, but how have critics and audiences alike received her posthumous release?
Well unfortunately, the overall consensus is average. "Sparkle is never more than an overheated mediocrity" said Owen Gleiberman of Entertainment Weekly, giving the film a B- review score. He was however moved to praise Housten's acting performance; "At times, it's like a Joan Crawford neurotic-mother fantasy, and the gravelly conviction of Whitney Houston's performance proves that this could have been the first step not merely in a comeback but in a major re-invention. She had the instincts of a superb character actress."
One person who will be immensely proud of the 'I Will Always Love You. singer is her daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. In a heart-warming, open letter to her late mother, the 19-year-old was said to be "very proud", reports The Province. "I'm so proud that you were able to finish making 'Sparkle' before things happened. You did it for us. Mom, you had such a great time making the movie. You glowed throughout...you just glowed" said an emotional Kristina Brown to Ebony Magazine.
The stars turned out in their droves to pay tribute to Housten at the premier of Sparkle, with Jordin Sparks, Derek Luke, Mike Epps, Cee Lo Green, Carmen Ejogo and Tika Sumpter all attending to pay their respects, and enjoy the undoubted talents of the late pop-star, Whitney Housten.

I know it's reality... but I hate reading about Whitney Houston as "the late singer". I still can't believe she's gone. At least we have her music and movies to hear and see. I miss her so much. I've been a fan since the late 80's. Saw her in Sparkle and just loved seeing her on the big screen. She was great in every scene she was in. Especially when she sang.. not as strong as she was, but still sounds better then most singers out there now. There will never be another Whitney Houston. Her legacy will live on forever. R.I.P Whitney... I will always love you.

Regardless of what critics say her last performance will be memorable to her fans and all who loved her because it is her final performance, and because we love her unconditionally. The title of this article lacks empathy a poses a almost condescending question. We love you miss you Whitney Houston and will always support your work.
