Inglourious Basterds Is Glorious At The U.s. Box Office
BRAD PITT is back at the top of the U.S. box office as a vengeful World War Two soldier.
Inglourious Basterds, his first collaboration with Quentin Tarantino raked in $37.6 million (£25 million) over the weekend to claim the top spot, more than doubling it's closest competition, sci-fi drama District 9.
The new film, in which Pitt leads a group of Jewish-American Nazi killers, has made $65.1 million (£43.4 million) at the worldwide box office.
Tarantino's longtime pal and Grind House collaborator Robert Rodriguez also jumped into the top in the U.S. 10 with a new release - his family film Shorts debuted at six with $6.6 million (£4.4 million).
