Ike: 'I'm Nice'
Seventies star IKE TURNER has lashed out at his negative public persona, insisting he's a nice guy. Ike received a lot of negative press when his now ex-wife and bandmate TINA TURNER admitted he had abused her during their 18-year marriage. The RIVER DEEP - MOUNTAIN HIGH hitmaker was also jailed in California for drugs-related offences soon after their divorce. The 74-year-old musician admits a common misperception is "that I'm this mean guy and that I don't talk that much to people". He says, "That's not true. Music is my life and I love people."
