The theft of Iggy Pop's tour equipment left cult act GRIZZLY BEAR sheltering from a storm in their tourbus - because the punk icon trashed their dressing room after learning his gear was missing.
Grizzly Bear arrived in Montreal, Canada in the middle of a thunder storm on Tuesday (05Aug08), the day after Iggy Pop and the reformed The Stooges performed at the venue they were set to play as support to Radiohead.
Bear star Ed Droste tells Rolling Stone magazine he and his bandmates were told their dressing room had been destroyed by Iggy Pop.
He says, "We had to ride out the storms on our tourbus (because) we were told that Iggy Pop trashed the dressing room, which was then meant to be ours, the night before when he discovered his equipment went missing.
"We've been robbed once before in Belgium and it sucks, so I can totally understand how he must have felt."
