Idris Elba Lands Top Prize At Crime Thriller Awards
British actor Idris Elba was honoured for his contribution to drama at the U.K.'s annual Crime Thriller Awards on Friday (07Oct11).
The Wire star Elba was named the Best Actor for his role in British TV series Luther, while Rafe Spall took the Best Supporting Actor trophy for The Shadow Line.
Jeff Bridges' western True Grit won the Film Dagger prize, but it was hit series The Killing which dominated the London ceremony.
The Danish drama landed the International TV Dagger award, while its stars Sofie Grabol and Ann Eleonora Jorgensen were named Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress respectively.
