Idol Judge Jordan Not Interested In Aerosmith Job
Internet gossip suggested the singer/songwriter, who is a judge on TV talent show Canadian Idol, has been in talks with Tyler's bandmates with a view to join them for recording and touring commitments while the frontman is on hiatus.
But she insists she's heard nothing, adding, "Steven Tyler is the singer in Aerosmith, last I checked? I must be out of the loop. Why would they get a female? Cool, though."
Jordan's comments follow those from Lenny Kravitz, Sammy Hagar and Buckcherry's Josh Todd, who have already ruled themselves out of contention for the vacant rock job.
Last month (Jan10), Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry revealed he wouldn't rule out hiring a woman as Tyler's temporary replacement: "A lot of the bands I was in before I had Aerosmith, I had female singers in the band and it was really good - a lot of great songs. So that's definitely a possibility."
