Ice Age - Ice Age: The Musical

Fans of the Ice Age franchise will be able to see the characters live from next year (12) after movie bosses struck a deal to turn the films into a musical.
The three pictures in the animated series, featuring the voices of John Leguizamo and Denis Leary, have so far grossed $1.9 billion worldwide, and now chiefs at Fox have announced plans to adapt the movies into a global touring show.
Jeffrey Godsick of Fox Consumer Products tells Variety, "We're realising our movies are pop culture events. As a property, (Ice Age) really resonates with people. We're at a point now where we've seen every element of Ice Age do really well.
"(The show will enable fans to) really get immersed in the world where you can feel, you can touch."
Ice Age Live! A Mammoth Adventure will be overseen by Guy Caron and will debut at London's Wembley Arena next November (12) before travelling to 30 countries.
