Hugh Jackman: X-Men will be 'action-packed'

Hugh Jackman has hinted 'X-Men: Days Of Future Past' will be ''action-packed''.

The 44-year-old actor - who plays Wolverine in the mutant superhero franchise - admits he can't wait to return to his role alongside stars such as Sir Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Sir Patrick Stewart (Professor Charles Xavier) as well as newcomers to the cast, to form an exciting blockbuster.

He told the MailOnline: ''You wouldn't have enough room on the page after you've listed all [the stars]. Every other actor who's ever put on a superhero uniform will be in it. There's an element of time travel and, naturally, it will be action-packed.''

The story will switch between two moments of time throughout the film, with some of the scenes set in the same timeline as 'X-Men: First Class' and featuring younger Magneto and Xavier Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy, while the rest will show the mutants trapped in future concentration camps.

Ian previously expressed how ''wonderful'' it is for himself and Patrick to reprise their original roles after the last film focused on their younger selves.

He said: ''What a gas! We can't believe it. I thought these were Fassbender and McAvoy's parts, but - no, no - we're back.

''We'll give them a run for their money. I mean, I haven't read the script, so I don't know how much we've got to do.

''But, to be back in that world, and for Bryan [Singer] to be doing it - with all the success he's had in the meantime - it's wonderful. Wonderful.''

'X-Men: Days Of Future Past', directed by Bryan Singer, is scheduled for a July 18 2014 release.
