Howard Stern - Howard Stern Wants Charlie Sheen Radio 24 Hours A Day

Sheen was a guest on Stern's SiriusXM radio show on 1 March (11) and was a big hit, and now the broadcaster wants the embattled star to speak out more often - and use his popular programme as an outlet.

Appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday night (03Mar11), Stern revealed he told Sheen, "We want to put a microphone in your house. Anytime you feel like going on the radio during our radio show, we'll break into our programming and you can have control of the airwaves carte blanche. Go on the air and have 'Charlie Radio' 24 hours a day because there's nothing better than that."

Sheen has been a big hit on TV and radio across America in the past week as he wages a war of words with TV producers, who have cancelled the remainder of his Two and a Half Men sitcom's eighth season, the series creator Chuck Lorre and his estranged wife Brooke Mueller.

A candid interview with Sheen earned news show 20/20 its biggest ratings in two years when it aired on Tuesday night (01Mar11).

Sheen ended his media-blitz week by phoning in to TV news show Access Hollywood Live on Friday morning (04Mar11) and addressing accusations he's anti-Semitic, revealing his mum is Jewish.

The claims were levelled at Sheen by Mueller, who is also Jewish, as she fought for custody of the couple's twin sons earlier this week (beg28Feb11).

Sheen stated, "My mom's Jewish... and I guess that would make me Jewish and my children Jewish."

He admitted he feels stupid for not pointing that out when he was first accused of hating Jews: "I just got caught sleeping... but I'm proud of it (being Jewish)."

He also called a Philadelphia, Pennsylvania radio station for a chat after bosses chartered a plane to fly the banner 'Charlie Sheen - PHILLY'S WIRED 96.5 Loves U - Call Us'.

He says, "I was so flattered I had to call them."
