Houston Scraps New Zealand Concert

R&B superstar WHITNEY HOUSTON has axed her only concert in New Zealand this year (10) amid reports of a dispute between her tour promoters and bosses at the venue.

The I Will Always Love You hitmaker was due to perform at the TSB Bowl in Taranaki on 6 March (10), but announced on Tuesday (16Feb10) the gig has now been called off.

Organisers of the event, the Andrew MCManus Presents promotion company, reportedly scrapped the show following a disagreement with executives at the TSB Bowl, according to the New Zealand Herald newspaper.

A statement from the promotion company reads, "Whitney and Andrew MCManus are extremely sorry to have to disappoint all of Whitney's many New Zealand fans on this occasion."

Fans have been asked to contact Ticketmaster for refunds.

Houston will now play an extra show in Melbourne, Australia on the day she was due to perform in New Zealand.
