Big Brother - Housemates Mourn Big Brother

Housemates have attended the funeral of 'Big Brother'.

Dressed in iconic fancy dress costumes from throughout the 11 series of the Channel 4 reality show, the contestants read out eulogies in front of acting priest and 'Big Brother' narrator Marcus Bentley.

Brian said: "What can I say? I'm never short for words but today I'm in pieces, this really is the end of an era. Big Brother, you have meant more to me than any man I've ever known, from our first Diary Room kiss to our last."

After 'committing to the earth a memorable item each, as well as the 'Big Brother' welcome pack, a microphone, the shiny red task suits, a beer can with a white label over it and a chalk board, narrator Marcus then laid the show to rest.

He stated: "260 housemates have sashayed through his doors and put themselves in full glare of scrutiny - an array of the foolish and the bonkers. No aspect of human behaviour was left unscrutinised by Big Brother."

However, saying goodbye to the show was even more emotional for one housemate.

Ulrika broke down in tears at the start of the funeral when she was given a hot dog costume to wear to the event, blaming her claustrophobia for her unwillingness to don the suit.

She said: "That's not going to happen. To be enclosed and encased like that and to only have one little tiny face hole. Oh God help me."

Kind-hearted Brian - who was originally dressed as a bug - offered to swap with the television presenter to ensure Big Brother's final goodbye ran smoothly.
