Emmy Award-winning Tv shows Homeland and Modern Family will be the series to beat at the 2013 Producers Guild Awards.

Claire Danes' hit drama will go head to head with Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Game of Thrones, and Mad Men for the The Norman Felton Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television Drama, while the producers of Modern Family will battle with 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Louie for the comedy prize.

Supermodel Heidi Klum also received a mention when the Tv nominations were announced on Wednesday (28Nov12) for her producing work on Project Runway, which will face off against The Voice, Dancing With the Stars, The Amazing Race, and Top Chef for the competition television title.

And there's good news for Miranda Cosgrove's teen sitcom iCarly, which ended its run on Tv last week (23Nov12) - it will be up for the children's television honour alongside Good Luck Charlie, Sesame Street and Phineas and Ferb.

The winners will be announced at the prizegiving ceremony on 26 January (13) in Los Angeles, where J.J. Abrams and producing brothers Bob and Harvey Weinstein will be feted with special honours.
