Holloway: 'I Don't Want To Be Handed New Jobs'
JOSH HOLLOWAY is looking forward to returning to the audition room when LOST concludes this year (10) - because he wants to prove himself before landing new roles.
The hunk - who plays badboy Sawyer in the hit show - is facing life without a job at the end of the sixth season after bosses on the series admitted they have "run out of ideas" for the outlandish plotlines.
But Holloway wants to get back on the audition trail - to prove he can rely on his talent rather than previous successes.
He tells People.com, "It'll be back to the audition room, and I'm game. I don't want straight offers - I want to read for things. I want to prove to myself and to that town that I can go forward. I don't want anything given to me."
And the star insists that becoming a dad to daughter Java last year (09) has made him even more determined to do well. He adds, "It's made me hungry, and so joyous about life in general. I feel a responsibility to be a better human being. To be her hero. I mean, I gotta be. I will be."
