Hogan To Appeal Release Of Private Tax Documents
The Crocodile Dundee star is currently under investigation by the Australian Crime Commission amid allegations he sent money into tax havens abroad.
Hogan challenged a June (09) decision to release his private documents relating to the multi-million dollar fraud case, and an attorney representing media companies Fairfax and News Limited was in court on Friday (02Oct09) to contest the application.
The lawyer argued the publication ban should be lifted as there is great public interest in the papers.
But he couldn't convince the three judges at Sydney's High Court, who granted Hogan leave to appeal the decision in what is expected to be a one-day hearing.
Hogan has denied all allegations of fraud.
