Artist Damien Hirst's tribute video of U2's 1992 hit Even Better Than The Real Thing has inspired the band to consider another run at the charts with a re-mix of the 20-year-old song.
Frontman Bono admits he was impressed with Hirst's promo for the track, which the band used during its performance at this year's (11) Glastonbury festival in England, and it has prompted him to think about re-releasing the single in 2011.
Speaking at the Toronto International Film Festival, where he's promoting new U2 documentary From The Sky Down, Bono said, "There’s a mix of it, which is stunning, called the Fish Out of Water remix, which I would like to release as a single.
"I’m trying to talk some people into it. It has the Damien Hirst thing... He made a very special art work... It’s an extraordinary work of art."
Even Better Than the Real Thing was the fourth single released from U2's Achtung Baby album in 1992. It became one of the few U2 singles to miss the top 10 in the U.K. but a remix by DJ Paul Oakenfold hit the top 10 in the U.S.
