Hines Ward Handcuffed At Gunpoint In Los Angeles
Law enforcement sources say police ran a query on the car's license plate and noticed it had been reported stolen. Officers then drew their weapons and ordered Hines Ward and the female driver to step out of the car and placed both individual in handcuffs. The driver explained that she was the person who reported the car stolen in the first place after an incident involving a valet. She had later cleared up the mix-up but forgot to alert police to call off their search. Lapd verified the story and eventually let Hines and the driver leave without further incident. An insider said Hines was "very cooperative and understanding about the situation".
Hines Ward, who was appointed by President Barack Obama as an advisor on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, is currently the favourite to win this year's Dancing With The Stars. Ward and his partner Kym Johnson have regularly topped the leader-board with a series of impressive displays.
