Hilary Duff' Has Girls' Night Out

Hilary Duff ''needed'' a girls' night out on Saturday (01.09.12).

The 24-year-old actress - who has five-month-old son Luca with her husband MIKE COMRIE - took a welcome break from her motherly duties this weekend to party with her own mother and a couple of girlfriends at Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont.

Hilary tweeted: ''Had the best girls night with @AlisiaLeibel & @JessPasternak and my lovely ladies at @NineZeroOne you know mama needed it xx (sic)''

The blonde beauty was pictured giggling and clutching her mother's hand as they tottered out of the infamous venue in the early hours of the morning.

Hilary was up early the next day, however, and was spotted running errands and buying lunch at the Which Wich Superior Sandwiches shop in Los Angeles with Luca in tow.

The star tied the knot with former NHL player Mike on August 14, 2010 and the pair recently enjoyed a romantic weekend getaway for their two-year wedding anniversary.

Hilary - who shot to fame in Disney's tween show 'Lizzie Maguire' before becoming a pop star - is now set to make a television comeback after having signed a deal with 20th Century Fox.

She recently tweeted: ''Ok it's official! Very excited about my development deal with 20th century fox!! t.v. here I come! :) (sic)''
