High Winds Shut Down Calvin Harris' Festival Show
As a storm ripped through the Las Vegas Speedway site, organisers decided to end the event early, so as not to risk another concert catastrophe, like the one that claimed seven lives at the Indiana State Fair last summer (11).
Festival producers hit the stage to announce the show was over, and asked audience members to leave the main stage area.
A statement from the Insomniac promoters read: "We cannot control Mother Nature and we are taking every precaution while high winds continue, and have cleared the stage areas temporarily as a preventative measure."
During the Indiana State Fair last August, high winds brought staging down as fans waited to see headliners Sugarland.
On Sunday morning (10Jun12) producers announced the remainder of the Electric Daisy Carnival would go on as scheduled.
