The third instalment in the High School Musical franchise was the big winner at the Kids' Choice awards, claiming the best movie prize.
Leading man Zac Efron accepted the prize for the Disney movie while his co-star Vanessa Hudgens was named favourite movie actress at the Los Angeles ceremony.
"Lately, a lot of people have been taking credit for bringing back the musical," Efron said in his acceptance speech.
"The truth is we've known who's been responsible for bringing back the musical all along. It was you guys!"
Some 90 million votes were cast for the Nickelodeon ceremony which also saw Will Smith named favourite actor, iCarly winning the favourite television show prize and American Idol voted favourite reality show.
Hannah Montana actress Miley Cyrus won the top female singe prize while pop-rock trio Jonas Brothers won the music group prize.
Guitar Hero: World Tour claimed the best video game award while Twilight was named favourite book.
"This is awesome," actor Taylor Lautner told the crowd. "[Author] Stephenie Meyer wanted to tell you guys 'thank you.'
"And I can tell you firsthand you guys are gonna love [the film based on sequel New Moon]."
Leonardo DiCaprio won the most serious prize of the night, the Big Green Help award, for his environmental work.
"Right now, our mother - our mother - all of our mothers, Mother Earth is hurting," the Titanic star said.
"And she needs a generation of thoughtful, caring and active kids like all of you to protect her for the future. You can help us win the battle to clean up our air, our water, our land, to protect our forests, our oceans and our wildlife."
