Ryan Reynolds - Hey ‘Notebook’ Fans: Ryan Reynolds Married Blake Lively At ‘The Plantation'
Ryan Reynolds may not be a bearded Ryan Gosling, though he attempted to at least match the American actor by marrying wife Blake Lively at the Boone Hall Plantation in Mount Pleasant: where the romantic drama ‘The Notebook’ was filmed, reports US Weekly magazine.
The movie – starring Gosling and Rachel Mcadams – is considered to be one of the best romance movies of all time, so it seems only right that the setting is reused for real life romances. One of the oldest plantations in the United States, ‘Boone Hall’ boasts numerous flower gardens and the historic ‘Avenue of Oaks’ – a mile long driveway lined with trees dating back to 1743. Fans of ‘The Notebook’ will recognise it as the summer home of Mcadams’ character, though on Sunday (September 9, 2012), it was the venue for Reynolds and Lively to exchange their vows in a ceremony in front of 60 guests including FLORENCE WELSH and Bette Midler. 25-year-old Lively met Reynolds while they co-starred in 2011’s ‘The Green Lantern’, generally considered to be one of the biggest movie flops of recent times: still, at least they both got something out of it.
It’s the second marriage for Reynolds, who was previously married to ‘Lost in Translation’ actress Scarlett Johansson. He was also engaged to the singer Alanis Morissette from 2004 to 2007.
