Here Comes Honey Boo Boo… Again! Seasonal Specials In Store For Child Pageant Star

Love her or hate her, Honey Boo Boo will be gracing your screens once more. In fact, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo will be gracing your screen several more times, as the TLC network has ordered three seasonal specials of the show. The young pageant princess and her family will be returning for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas, according to USA Today and Amy Winter of TLC said in a statement that they are “excited to share even more of Alana and her family's unbridled hilarity, sincerity and love with our viewers.”

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo debuted in August 2012 and followed the activities of Alana Thompson, 7 and her family. Each episode so far has averaged around 2.3 millions, according to the report. In fact, it was so successful that the show even bested all individual network and cable coverage of the Republican National Convention when it aired on August 19, 2012.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Alana’s family are being pretty shrewd about their precocious daughter’s success and have demanded that TLC up their fee for Season 2. For season one, they received $4,000 per episode and have now demanded $10,000, given what a success the Honey Boo Boo show turned out to be. However, insiders reckon they’ll get closer to 8k. That’s still pretty much double what they were getting before; most people would kill for that kind of pay rise! TLC haven’t commented on their terms of the family’s new contract.
