The Northern Irish musician, 69, has been receiving medical care ever since he was rushed to the Causeway Hospital in Coleraine in critical condition in November (12), and now his former bandmate, Denny Seiwell, reveals he may never be the same again.
The drummer tells SomethingElseReviews.com, "Unfortunately, we just got some bad news on Henry's condition. By the time the ambulance got there, because the lack of oxygen from that period of the heart attack through first treatment, he's suffered some significant brain damage."
But he reveals MCCullough's wife, Josie, is still holding out hope he can make a full recovery, adding, "Josie is very hopeful, but some of the doctors - according to friends - don't think that he's going to have much of a recovery. He's going to need constant care the rest of his life."
