Helm + Uncle Earl Collect Folk Alliance Honours

THE BAND drummer LEVON HELM and UNCLE EARL took home the top honours at the third annual Folk Alliance awards on Wednesday (20Feb08) night. Helm was named Traditional Artist Of The Year at the Memphis, Tennessee event, while Uncle Earl's Waterloo collected Album Of The Year. Elsewhere, Tom Russell's Who's Gonna Build Your Wall was honoured with the Song Of The Year prize, and Susan Werner picked up the Contemporary Artist Award.
