Heidi Klum - Heidi Klum, Seal Separate Despite Renewing Wedding Vows

A press release from Afp contains details of Heidi's statement, which describes the split as an amicable one: "While we have enjoyed seven very loving, loyal and happy years of marriage, after much soul-searching we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart." Heidi Klum is rumored to be filing divorce papers shortly, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Concerns regarding the state of the couple's marriage were triggered when she made an appearance at this year's Golden Globes ceremony without her husband by her side. A story from Chicago Sun Times today (January 23rd, 2012) suggests that Klum had tired of Seal's partying whilst he was away on tour.

Heidi and Seal have three children together and Seal also adopted Heidi's daughter from a previous relationship with the Formula One boss Flavio Briatore. In her statement, Heidi Klum asks for the media to be mindful of the family's need for privacy, stating "This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."
