JACKSON family matriarch KATHERINE JACKSON's health has sparked a secret custody battle for her late son MICHAEL's three kids after she fell down a flight of stairs at her home in California.
The 80 year old won custody of Paris, Prince Michael and Prince Michael II following the King of Pop's death last summer (Jun10) - but sources insist she's too old and frail to look after the kids.
America's Globe tabloid reports Katherine was hospitalised after the fall on 17 May (10), but escaped with only cuts and bruises. However, the accident has sparked concerns for her health.
A family insider tells the publication, "She's taken on way too much for a woman of her age but refuses to delegate the care of her grandchildren to others.
"She has aged enormously and is desperately hanging on for the sake of her children, but her collapse on the stairs shows how fragile she really is."
And the source fears that the upcoming anniversary of her son's death will be too much for Katherine - and that could be devastating for the Jackson clan.
The insider adds, "She's the glue that holds the whole family together. If something happens to her, it would be all-out war."
In his will, Michael Jackson suggested his pal Diana Ross should get custody of his three kids if his mother was incapacitated or dead at the time of his passing, but the Globe reports the three children's cousins, Jacksons brother Tito's kids Taj and T.J., are favourites to land custody of Paris and the Prince Michaels if anything should happen to Katherine.
The kids' aunts Janet and Rebbie are also potential guardians, along with Michael's ex-wife Debbie Rowe, the birth mother of Prince Michael and Paris.

| I am so sorry Mrs. Jackson suffered a fall, however I do not believe any reports by the tabloids that she is fragile and in bad health. She is elderly, of course she is not as strong physically as a 25 year old, but I believe she is in good health for her age. Shame on the tabloids for continuing to post bad news, it is as if they want harm to come to her and for the family to have in fighting over the children. I do not believe there is any in fighting as Mrs. Jackson is an intelligent person and I am sure she has already designated a guardian in case of her demise and there is no reason for us to know her wishes. Because of the age of the children, I am sure the older children have been consulted as to where they would want to live and with whom. My mom lived to age 96, was ill only the last 4.5 yrs. of her life. Until that time she lived alone, managed herself and her home, so we don't know how strong or weak Mrs. Jackson is and we should pray she is and will be okay. I believe Tito's sons would be good guardians, Michael thought highly of them, but I am sure this rumor is false. 3 young men would not consider dividing up the children. Debbie Rowe, another rumor, she has not seen the children since MJ's death. Hopefully one of MJ's sister's is the designated guardian and I am really sure that is what will be done. I pray Mrs. Jackson lives until MJ's oldest son is 18 and then he can be in a position to manage the estate and look out for his sister and little brother. I know Diana Ross is a designated guardian behind Mrs. Jackson. I believe in honoring the wishes of the deceased, but in this case I vote (as if I have a vote) for a family member. All of Diana's children grew up to be educated and well adjusted adults, but she has had problems in these later years. Mrs. Jackson, stay healthy and we love you and MJ's kids. We are praying for you AlWAYS! | ||

| I hope Mrs. Jackson is alright my prayers are with her and her family. But I think that is being blown all out of control saying that she is too old to raise her grandchildren. She is not the only adult person looking after those kids. They have adult cousins, aunts and uncles plus Katherine has assistance helping her in her home with her grandkids. Why is it that certain sources want this family to fall apart? | ||
