Hazlehurst Dies At 79

Legendary jingles man RONNIE HAZLEHURST, who penned the theme tunes for hit British TV shows such as Yes, MINISTER and Are You Being Served, has died aged 79.
Hazlehurst died in hospital in Guernsey, England after suffering a stroke last week (begs24Sep07).
A former musical director at the BBC, Hazlehurst was closely involved with the Eurovision Song Contest and conducted the UK entry on seven occasions.
Hazlehurst had a heart bypass operation in October last year (06).
He is survived by his partner, Jean Fitzgerald, and two sons from his second marriage.
