Have Michael Jackson's Estate Signed A Deal With The Devil?

Michael Jackson may have passed away in 2009, though it appears his estate are doing everything in their power to ensure he lives on in popular culture. They have signed a huge deal with Pepsi - the company whose 1984 commercial left Jackson with severe burns to his scalp which reportedly led to his prescription drug addiction, according to Tmz.com.

The accident on the set of the commercial, during which Jackson's hair was set on fire, is often blamed for Jackson's dependence on medication. His former manager Frank Cascio said the singer was introduced to the drug Demerol to deal with the pain from the burns. TMZ suggest that some people are branding it "a deal with the devil", however, Jackson's estate feel that Pepsi is the right company to join forces with, and the singer actually worked with the brand on two further occasions, in 1988 and 1991. A spokesperson for the estate said, "We're here to market the re-release of the 'Bad' album and Pepsi is the most effective place to do it". The logistics of the new deal with vary from country to country, though it includes a television commercial, as well as special edition Pepsi cans with Jackson's image. Fans will also be in with a chance of winning downloadable remixes of the late singer's songs.

While preparing for his 'This Is It' concert series, Jackson died of acute propofol and benzodiazepine intoxication on June 25, 2009, after suffering from cardiac arrest.

I am so tired of hearing media lies about this so called drug dependency that MJ had, instead of writing lies why don't they concentrate on the good he's done? And if Michael were taking pain medication he was far from being stupid,he knew exactly how much to take and when. The media need's to get a life and start writing the truth instead of lies,,,but like Mj himself said many time's,,,good thing's don't sell. All the media want's to write about are the bad time's and if there is none they make it up as they go,,,,,sad!

Michael Jackson had an on/off dependency on certain medications for GENUINE ailments, (just like many others) and which actually began with the trauma of the 93 allegations. He was not a drug addict – as many ignorants like to claim. The medication MJ began to over-medicate on after he the 93 allegations broke worldwide, was the pain-relief medication which had been prescribed for the recent scalp surgery he had had before embarking on the Dangerous tour - a painful surgery whereby a balloon is insterted into the scalp, (research 'Scalp Expansion' Surgery) to help stretch the scar tissue from painfully contracting; and also in the hope that hair may be able to be restored in that area in the future. Anyway, he went to rehab for that. The other time was sometime after bridge collapse accident at a benefit concert in Munich in 99 - where he suffered a damaged vertabrea in lower back; not many seem to know or don’t care for that information, either. MJ may have had another *short-lived* dependency problem after the second allegations broke /05 trial -just to dull the horror of what was happening to him again... however, I cannot even say that for sure - but either way, that finally broke his spirit and he walked from that court a broken man- regardless of the "Not Guilty" verdict; he was never the same since.Furthermore, the so-called “stash” of prescription pills found in his rented mansion were *literally* hardly used. The viols found contained many pills that had not been taken according to the date of issue / expiry on the viols …ANOTHER fact the media chose not to highlight/ignore regarding Michael Jackson! At the end of the day, it was not Pepsi who caused Michael emotional pain – (they had actually worked together after the accident) – It was the likes of the Chandler's, Arvizo's and slanted media and it's sheep who caused Michael emotional pain in his latter years.
