British pop star Harry Judd has raised $24,000 (£15,000) for a brain injury charity as part of a romantic Tv challenge on a cheeky U.K. quiz show.

The MCFly star and his fiancee Izzy Johnston took part in All Star Mr and Mrs, and had to answer probing questions about each other.

The couple saw off competition from presenter Lisa Maxwell and actress Sian Reeves to reach the final - and Judd and Johnston earned $24,000 for the Eyes Alight charity, which grants wishes for youngsters with brain injuries.

The cause is close to the couple's hearts because Johnston's brother was left brain damaged following a car crash in 1997.

Taking to her Twitter.com page after the show, which aired in Britain on Wednesday night (07Nov12), violinist Johnston wrote, "Thank you So much AllStarMrandMrs... £15,000 will make such a Huge difference for eyes alight we had such a giggle too!"
