Mcfly - Harry Judd Engaged

The drummer has been dating 28 year old Izzy Johnston for six years, and announced on Twitter.com on Thursday (17May12) that he asked her to be his bride during a luxury trip to the Rendezvous Hotel in St. Lucia.

Taking to his page to tell fans of his news, he wrote, "Couldn't be happier! My beautiful izzyeyesalight and I are engaged! Thank you to rendezvoushotel for making it so special!

"I liked it, so I put a ring on it. #engaged"

Johnston added, "So happy! My gorgeous @mcflyharry and I got engaged on the beach by candlelit dinner. I'm the luckiest girl to be marrying my best friend."

Judd's proposal comes less than a week after he acted as best man at bandmate Fletcher's London wedding to Giovanna Falcone on Saturday (12May12).

Fletcher was thrilled to hear the news, and added his congratulations on the social networking site, writing, "Awesome News!!!! Congrats to @mcflyharry and his Fiance (sic) @izzyeyesalight on getting engaged."

Speaking about his relationship with Johnston earlier this year (12), the pop star insisted he wasn't ready to settle down.

He told New! magazine, "I like to think I am traditional but I don't really know (about proposing). I don't have a plan if you know what I mean!"
