Harry Belafonte - Harry Belafonte Facing Legal Action From Half-brother Over Book

Harry Belafonte is facing a courtroom showdown with his half-brother in a dispute over the veteran singer's 2011 autobiography.

The Banana Boat Song star released My Song: A Memoir last year (11) and his half-sibling, Raymond Wright, is now suing for libel over the publication.

Wright has filed a lawsuit at Manhattan Federal Court in New York, alleging the book contains "a cluster of libels" which are intended to "incite media dislike of Wright and dissuade the media from publishing Wright's work".

Wright, who shared the same mother as Belafonte, has reportedly been estranged from his famous brother since 1991.
