Happy Mondays - Happy Mondays Confirm Reunion Tour

Cult British band Happy Mondays have confirmed the original line-up is reforming for a reunion tour this year (12).
The Step On hitmakers disbanded 19 years ago as frontman Shaun Ryder's drug addiction spiralled out of control, and when they reunited in 1999, original guitarist Mark Day and keyboardist Paul Davis refused to join the comeback.
Recent rumours suggested the musicians have put their differences aside for a set of reunion gigs, and now singer Rowetta has confirmed they will be undertaking a month-long tour in May (12) with the full original line-up.
She tells Bbc News, "We want to put on a really good show. We decided it would only be special and work if it was the total, original line-up. We're all really excited. They are my family these boys, I've really missed them and I'm sure they've missed each other."
The band's manager Warren Askew tells Britain's The Sun, "Some of the lads hadn't seen each other in more than 10, 15 years. It's as if we've never been apart - so good to all be in the same room. We can't wait to get on tour."
The news has prompted speculation the band will be supporting fellow 1990s rockers Stone Roses at their sold-out reunion gigs in June and July (12) - and Rowetta is hoping that will be the case.
She adds, "It's up to the Roses. As long as we've not killed each other by then, we'd be up for it."
